Khumbu Circuit Trek
Khumbu Circuit Trek is a complete and adventurous journey through Everest region, combining the Chhukung Valley, Everest Base Camp, Cho La Pass, and Gokyo Valley into one unforgettable high altitude circuit. This trek express the very best of the Khumbu, including fascinating Sherpa villages, ancient Buddhist monasteries, and the warm hospitality and rich culture of the Sherpa people. From Dingboche, our trail will trek through the quieter Chhukung Valley (4,730 m) for an acclimatization day, with a short side hike upto Chhukung Ri (5,550 m) that reveals close up and unique views of Mahalangur ramge. The trail continues to the popular Everest Base Camp (5,364 m), where trekkers witness close up views of Lhotse, Nuptse, and the dramatic Khumbu Icefall, along with a morning climb to Kala Patthar for breathtaking sunrise over Mt. Everest and 360 degree panoramic scenery. After the Base Camp valley, the trail turns west over the adventurous Cho La Pass (5,420 m) crossing from Dzongla to Thagnak it involve steep ascent, a glacier traverse, and rugged terrain surrounded by towering peaks like Cholatse and Lobuche. Descending into the spectacular Gokyo Valley, trekkers are welcomed by a string of turquoise glacial lakes and more tranquil environment. A climb to Gokyo Ri offers enchanting sunrise over the panoramic view with Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, and Cho Oyu rising above the surrounding landscape. A day hike to the remote Fifth Lake (Ngozumpa Tsho) reveals stunning scenery of the Everest massif and the vast and longest Ngozumpa Glacier in the Himalayas.
